Just terrible

No, the people leaving bad ratings are not just frustrated. This "game" is awful. There are areas you can look that are almost impossible to access even knowing where to tap. The items have no description, so you cant make an intelligent decision on how to use them. Just use every item on everything until something works. Thats not how these types of games are supposed to work.
